· Chrome version (see chrome://settings/help) and your operating system
· Which app it happens in — Docs, Sheets, Slides or Drive — and the URL
· A screenshot if the problem is visual

2. Quick fixes

Dark mode does not turn on

Open the extension popup and make sure the toggle for the app you are in is enabled — Docs, Sheets, Slides and Drive each have their own switch.
Reload the tab after changing a toggle.
Temporarily disable other dark-mode extensions (e.g. Dark Reader) on docs.google.com — two dark themes at once can distort each other.

Colors look wrong

Check that no other extension is also restyling the page. If it still looks off, send us a screenshot — that is the fastest way for us to reproduce it.

Settings did not carry over to another device

Settings are stored via Chrome's storage.sync. Make sure Chrome sync is enabled in both browser profiles.

The extension disappeared

Check chrome://extensions — it may be disabled or just unpinned (puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar).
